You are not alone.
If you live in Southern Maine and believe in faith, family, freedom and limited government, it can feel like you’re the only one. Your town council, your school board and your local paper rarely speak for you. Southern Maine Republic exists to tell you otherwise: there are thousands of your neighbors who share your values, and together we have a voice.
Common Sense Conservatives
We’re a homegrown outlet for common-sense conservatives from Kittery to Bangor. We watch the meetings most people never see, the town councils, school boards and state legislators who make decisions about your taxes, your schools and your kids, and we report what they actually say and how they actually vote.
Facts, linked to the source
Every claim we make is linked to its source: the meeting video, the vote record, the public post. You don’t have to take our word for it. Look for yourself.
Heroes and call-outs
We celebrate the Heroes of Freedom, the ordinary Mainers who stand up and speak out, and we call out officials when their words and votes don’t match the people they serve.
Get involved
Read your town’s page, show up to a meeting, sign up for the weekly update and bring a friend. Southern Maine is more conservative than it looks. Let’s prove it.
